Bemidji based multi-instrumentalist and producer Cassidy Jay announces the digital release of his latest album, The Reverie Within The Sound, Friday, February 2, 2024. The Reverie Within The Sound is Cassidy Jay’s first album under his latest, self-titled, solo project. Cassidy takes the listener for a ride with this release that highlights his syncopated grooves and intuitive improvisation.
Cassidy Jay is a professional multi instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, composer, producer and audio engineer who has been playing and producing music for more than two decades. Cassidy’s latest album features his performances on baritone guitar, bass, and drums as well as his talents as producer and engineer. Cassidy’s production style on The Reverie Within The Sound captures that feeling a person gets when the music hits just right at a live music event. Through recording each instrument straight through from beginning to end in a single take he was able to achieve a fresh, live-band sound. Cassidy says, “intuitive expression and improvisation play a key role in the performance of each part.”
Composed in one of Cassidy’s musical stylings he calls Heavy Groove, The Reverie Within The Sound is an instrumental suite meant to convey some of the many feelings experienced within life that words cannot express. The rich rhythms of the drums and bass compliment the colors and tones of the baritone guitar in a full sounding groovy context.
The Reverie Within The Sound will be released under Wild Growth Records, a family run label owned by Cassidy and his wife, Diamond. Wild Growth Records released Cassidy Jay’s first single from the album, Defense Of The Sacred, on January 26. Both the album and the single will be available on all streaming platforms with physical copies of The Reverie Within The Sound to follow. Find his Press Kit here.
